The 2019 Camry is designed to confound expectations, and the result is a radically thrilling take on the Toyota mainstay that boasts an exciting exterior, lively suspension, and a whole suite of other innovative features, and for the fuel-conscious, Toyota throws a Camry Hybrid into the mix. Current Camry fans will no doubt be entranced by this unexpected evolution, but the 2019 Camry is poised to win over a whole new generation of enthusiasts as well.

The 2019 Camry is built on Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA), and it shows. Drive & Handling

The traditional gasoline Camry is available with your choice of either a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine or a 3.5-liter V6. The 2.5-liter Dynamic Force Engine is inspired by TNGA and is paired with a Direct Shift eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard across the model lineup. Generating 203 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque, this powertrain is rated at 34 mpg combined (29 mpg city, 41 mpg highway) on the base model and 32 mpg combined (28 mpg city, 39 mpg highway) on LE models and above.*

The 3.5-liter generates 301 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque and front-wheel drive. This powertrain is rated at 26 mpg combined (22 mpg city, 33 mpg highway) on the base model and 26 mpg combined (22 mpg city, 32 mpg highway) on XSE models.*

For the hybrid version, Toyota combines the 4-cylinder Dynamic Force Engine with an electric motor. The combined hybrid powertrain puts out 176-hp and 163 lb-ft of instant torque. With more than enough power to push the Camry's lightweight frame, drivers will enjoy the enviable savings at the pump. The 2019 Camry Hybrid LE brings home an EPA-estimated 51 mpg in the city and 53 mpg on the highway.*
